Project number. 2023-1-DE02-KA210-ADU-000159756

OUR PROJECTS AIMS TO MAKE AWARENESS ABOUT ORGANIC FARMING AND TO INCREASE COMPETENCES OF RURAL WOMEN IN THE FIELD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND ONLINE MARKETING
Rural women in the EU constitute less than 50% of the rural population but play a vital role in agriculture. Despite this, women entrepreneurs are underrepresented, with only 33% feeling they possess the necessary business skills. The EU Digital Agro-WomENtrepreneurs project addresses the need for digital skills and entrepreneurship among rural women, aiming to enhance their financial contribution and active community participation. By leveraging digitalization and socio-economic approaches, the project promotes green jobs and entrepreneurship in rural areas. This comprehensive initiative seeks to empower rural women, promote sustainable agriculture, and foster economic and social inclusion through education and skill development.
The project aims to empower disadvantaged women from rural areas by providing opportunities to learn ecological farming strategies, digital marketing, and entrepreneurial skills, thereby promoting sustainable agriculture and gender equality. It focuses on three main needs: the European Green Deal for climate neutrality by 2050, the EU’s gender equality strategy, and the EU Rural Action Plan for fostering territorial cohesion and economic opportunities in rural areas.
To achieve these goals, the project has three main objectives:
1. Promoting ecological agriculture by educating women on sustainable agricultural practices to protect the environment.
2. Enhancing digital and marketing skills by training rural women in digital literacy and online marketing.
3. Fostering entrepreneurship by encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset among rural women, improving their self-confidence and initiative in agriculture, and strengthening the link between tradition, culture, and female entrepreneurship.
The expected outcomes of the project include:
– Digital literacy training for 40 rural women and 10 educators per partner country.
– Training in agro-digital marketing strategies for 40 rural women and 10 educators per partner country.
– Entrepreneurship training for 40 rural women and 10 trainers/educators per partner country.
– Sustainable ecologic agriculture training for 40 rural women and 10 educators per partner country.
– A guidebook on becoming digital Agro-WomENtrepreneurs
– Success stories videos highlighting successful women entrepreneurs in agriculture.
By addressing these objectives and achieving these outcomes, the project aims to create a significant impact on the empowerment of rural women, the promotion of sustainable agriculture, and the advancement of economic and social inclusion in rural areas.
